Description

The Farris Creek trail is 6.1 miles long. It begins at Forest Road 740 and ends at Forest Road 736. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking, Mountain Biking, Horseback Riding, and Motorcycle Trail Riding.<br />
This out-and-back trail crosses open plains, revealing the tall mountains rising around you, and it also winds through thick, secluded forests. It's a perfect place to get outside, but remember to share the trail!

Directions

from Crested Butte follow the New Deli trail out to South Crested Butte, only a couple of miles; then follow the county road (Brush Creek Road) out past the trailhead to Cold Spring Ranch, about 2 miles; there is a right turn up a fairly steep hill, approx 1/2 mile beyond Cold Spring Ranch; on completing the trail you end up on this county road, follow it back to South CB and then CB itself
